The threat model shifts too. If your competitive advantage is "we're great at tuning this complex system," AI will erode that advantage-unless you're the one operationalizing it. The defensible part becomes the integration: sensors, calibration, system identification, validation, and on-call operations. The unsexy stuff. As usual.
